The looks and specs look pretty cool IMO. Any of you guys own one or played one? Thoughts/opinions?

Subscribing.

I want to like Het's sig guitars, but when I play them I just can't get into the thin U neck profile. The extra thin U is about as thick as I like to play. I've played his (LTD) LP copies & the Explorer copy, but not the V yet.

I've owned a lot of the ESP Metallica signatures. I own the LTD Vulture and it's my favourite out of all of them. Plays and sounds as good as any of the custom shops I've owned. Of course each guitar will feel and sound different even when they are the same model sometimes. I can't speak for all of them but the LTD vulture has actually made me not want to spend much more than $1200 again. If you like V's and a fan of how this looks go for it. Specs are pretty good. I was really thinking about the ESP version but the LTD has really impressed me.

You sre not making it easy. I am really gassing for one of those :D

This is exactly how I feel about my JH-600 vs. my Kiso Hanny. The ESP is better differences are really subtle. They are both crushing guitars. Good to hear the same about the Vulture. I need to play one.

My KH-602 vs my KH-2 however is a more significant difference, and you can pick up old KH-2 bolt ons for around a grand if you're patient.

I played one in Sam Ash last week. It's so fucking comfortable to play. The V shape and the arm contour make it one of the most comfortable guitars I've ever played. I want one but I'm gonna wait until they start popping up on the used market.

Wish they made one in a color other than black but it is called the Vulture so I doubt they'll release anything.

I agree on the KH guitars. I had the LTD ouija which was neck thru and there was a significant difference between that and other neck thru KH ESP's I've owned. Still a great guitar though.

+1 on most comfortable guitar to play. Satin neck also lets your hand slide around so easy. Nice and light and sits well between the legs to play sitting down also.

Thanks guys. You definitely are not making it easy since I do want one and do not currently own a V shape.

Good to hear the Ltd. version is nice. I've never been able to gel with most of the older Ltd.'s I've owned and ended up selling them. Haven't owned a Ltd. for years now due to that but might give this one a shot.

All my current ESP's are "ESP" but I really got turned off when they got rid of the ESP Standard line. IMO that was and still is a horrible move on their part. Wish they would bring them back.

I won't pay $4K-$6K for a ESP branded model, like they have them priced now. The older ESP Standard line was killer and reasonably priced. The E-II's I have played just do not compare or really interest me.

This Ltd. Vulture might break my long stretch of not buying.
