Hello allđź‘‹ I ran across the ESP LTD KH-602 purple sparkle and am really interested in this guitar! Any owners want to chime in here with your thoughts on it?

I play in a 2 guitar Classic rock/hard rock/80's hair metal covers band

I had one for about a year or so. I realized i'm just not a fan of active pickups / EMG's and I prefer an unfinished / satin neck at the back. Wasn't a huge fan of the fretboard (Pau Ferro) either. I've realized I prefer an ebony or maple fretboard. All else considered for the price point it was a pretty good guitar.

Well I went ahead and signed up for the Musician's Friend platinum card and ordered the ESP LTD KH-602 in Purple Sparkle from Musician's Friend, promo: $30/Month for 48 months 0% interest, it's not in stock right now and who knows how long before it's ever back in stock.

While I was researching this guitar online, I contacted both Musicians Friend and ESP and asked: The ESP website says the fretboard is Macassar Ebony but also says pau ferro fingerboard, which is it? ESP replied: The current specification for this model is macassar ebony & Musician's Friend said: I apologize for the confusion. It's Ebony

I’ve been eyeing this guitar also.
The fretboard may be in the ebony family but it looks more like rosewood. I’ve read it sound between rosewood and ebony also.
I hate gloss necks but you could just scuff it up a bit.

That is confusing. I think the model I had was Pau Ferro according to the specs. The model I bought was from 2020 though. I have a J Custom that has a Macassar Ebony fingerboard and it looked fairly similar.
