Esp signature guitar pricing

I’ve always wanted an ESP Lynch signature but I cant afford one. Why is ESP so dang expensive? Ibanez Pia is expensive at $3699 usd but what makes a Lynch model $5500-$7000? All Japanese Esp models expensive vs Ibanez in comparison. Maybe ESP has a more attention to detail but there is a law of diminishing returns at that price point i think. Maybe i’m just stupid but I don’t know what makes them so expensive.

No. They are just too expensive.

I think you can find them a little cheaper on Digimart if you want to go through the process. Ibanez is also cheaper than ESP there as well. I’m guessing the best comparison would be the J-Custom to the Japan ESP in how much it takes to make them.
 
Ibanez Custom Shop isn't open to non-signature artists, i.e., people like us.

If it was, you'd be paying $6K+ For example, the PS1 cracked mirror guitars are basically PS10 (MIJ, $3699.99) with the cracked mirror added, go for $6999.99 if you can find them.
 
Esp japan custom shop is just a small group of guys, i think 5 people as of last time i checked, alot of attention to detail, premium woods, kami paint job takes more time than a solid color guitar.

Ibanez signature are production line guitars which makes a difference but yeah the prices are pretty absurd especially if you consider how the JPY to USD exchange rate is right now.

I don’t get it either—I wouldn’t pay more than $1500 for any bolt on neck guitar.
 
They are unfortunately crazy prices. That’s why I sadly only own one, that I bought in Japan at a very lucky moment with reasonable pricing.
