A little off topic but-

I am going to Rome in a few weeks. Naturally, I am bringing phone, iPod, camera, etc....

It occurred to me that I can't just plug that stuff into the wall to recharge it, can I?

Is there a kind of plug track/converter I can buy? Plug the track into the wall, that will convert the power, and plug the stuff into the track to recharge?

Thanks!

iPod, as well as laptop chargers usually can handle any voltage from 110-240. All you need is a plug adapter, which is cheap and easy to get.
For anything else, check the device's adapter to see if it supports 220/240V as input voltage. If it does, you're cool.

An actual voltage converter is bulky and spendy, so I would suggest you leave those devices at home.
