What kind of send off do ya do for a guy like that? Jumping something must be involved.

Bummer... I had that the toy snake river canyon rocket when I was a kid. I miss that toy. :D
 
Man what a thing to end the week. He was a hero for all of us near or at 40. Had all the toys and costume also...Sad day, he lived hard but gave thanks in the end that God let him do the things he did and was able to still live a long life!
 
Damn......I remember racing home to watch ABC's Wide World of Sports whenever he jumped.

I had the Bike, Jet Bike, Van.........

RIP Evel.
 
He stayed here at the hospital I work at in the rehab unit for about 3-4 weeks (dont remember why) But he was a riot. REALLY nice, demanding (from what the nurses told me), but still a very nice and likable guy.

never had the toys, but destroyed a few bicycles jumping over shit, usually trash cans!

Lots of memories of playing with that and also watching Evel Knievel doing his jumps on ABC's "Wide World Of Sports" on Saturday afternoons. :)
 
I worked my ass off to save up $8.95 for that stunt cycle. When I had $9 I begged my mom to take me to the store so I could get it. I *ran* into the store, grabbed one from the shelf, and ran to the check out. The checkout lady said, "That'll be $9.50 with tax." I visibly deflated. Noooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!! My mom took pity and covered it, though :)
