Basically the main differences are the first Virtual pedal board from Eventide: you have 1/4 inch and XLR inputs-but XLR only outputs, a much easier to read display,

VIRTUAL PEDALBOARD 40

1. 5Series Pedalboard
Series pedalboard with pitch, chorus, phaser, echo and reverb
2. Parallel Pedalboard
Parallel pedalboard with pitch, flanger, echo and reverb with pan control
3. Series Pedalboard
Series pedalboard with pitch, flanger, echo and reverb.
4. Virtual Pedalboard
Series pedalboard with pitch, chorus, flanger, phaser and echo
5. PANacea
Tuned parallel pedalboard with pitch, flanger, echo and reverb with pan control
6. Stairway To Hell
Tuned parallel pedalboard with pitch, flanger, echo and reverb with pan control
7. Steel Drum Guitar
Tuned series pedalboard with pitch, flanger, echo and reverb with pan control
8. Subtle Overkill
Delicately tuned series pedalboard with pitch, flanger, echo and reverb with pan control
9. Sweep Guitar
Delicately tuned series pedalboard with pitch, flanger, echo and reverb with pan control
10. MidiStomp Chorus
Fully midi-ed chorus module for pedalboard building
11. MidiStomp Ekkoplex
Fully midi-ed echo module for pedalboard building
12. MidiStomp Flanger
Fully midi-ed flanger module for pedalboard building
13. MidiStomp Harmonize
Fully midi-ed pitch shifter module for pedalboard building
14. MidiStomp Phaser
Fully midi-ed phaser module for pedalboard building
15. MidiStomp Reverb
Fully midi-ed reverb module for pedalboard building
16. Stomp Chorus
Tuned un-midi-ed chorus module for preset building
17. Stomp Ekkoplex
Tuned un-midi-ed echo module for preset building
18. Stomp Flanger
Tuned un-midi-ed flanger module for preset building
19. Stomp Harmonizer
Tuned un-midi-ed pitch shift module for preset building
20. Stomp Phaser
Tuned un-midi-ed phaser module for preset building
21. Stomp Reverb
Tuned un-midi-ed reverb module for preset building

Options to take you further

An optional internal sampler board provides ample memory for looping and other long delay-based effects. A digital I/O option is available which provides full 24-bit AES/EBU and S/PDIF digital inputs and outputs in addition to the standard analog I/O. And, the master DSP4000 Studio Program Collection adds (all the) programs and factory presets from the Eventide DSP4000 Studio Ultra-Harmonizer effects processor to the GTR4000.

It's all too easy to "use up" the typical guitar effects processor. And do you really want to let one of these boxes color the tone you've worked so hard to achieve? That's why you need the power and the transparency of the only truly professional guitar and bass effects processor - the Eventide GTR4000 GuitarPro Ultra-Harmonizer effects processor. When you combine our creativity with yours, there'll be no stopping you.

H3000 sounds better to my ears, soundwise, it is still the best Eventide out there, you know, in my humble opinion, your mileage.. yadda yadda binga bang boom with pitch shifting on it.

Thanks Zach!

I figured this route would be less expensive than a DSP4000 and still have the Eventide algorhythms.

HAHAHAHAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am just researching right now. There are a ton of amps out there that I have never even heard of and its time to get educated. I watched the NAMM vids and of course they enduced immediate GAS. Also throwing around the idea of doing the Egnater class. Seems like a no brainer just don't know if the wife is going to be cool with it or not. Guess there's only one way to find out. ;)

Hi Zach,
Things are going good here...but I am extremely busy with everything, including family.

Most of the components are built... I am working on the amp selector today. I have to use a different (bigger)
chassis to accommodate the relays...so basically all I could use from the existing one you have is the circuit board.
You are lucky I have one. I will wire the rack next week.

I'll try to get in touch with you next week to touch base...
Have a good weekend.
Regards,
Bob

Bob's "next week" is more like next year.... I can't believe that fucker still has your rack man.

That's what I thought. Wanted to see Zach's part of the exchange.

Hey, the wait has been stupid look and after seeing Andy Summer's rig me thinks that Zach's switchers went on a national tour

No- Andy's setup, while similar, is different.

Aloha Ed... I basically just sent an E-mail, following up on our last email- when I was told he'd be coming back from a tour at the end of August, and would be finishing up the rig, saying that I was excited to hear some good news about the finish line of the monster rig, and that is what he sent back.

I am setting excited about getting my toys back. It has been a long time, but I am REALLY looking forward to the new version of my previous setup.
