All together now........................

Wade custom RE-wound the Mini Humbuckers existing on my Gretcsh Electromatic Pro jet.

Now the output is hotter, being where it needs to be and the sound/tone quality has improved tremendously. I knew it would be better but was taken back by how much.

The different levels of clean are awesome, retaining the Gretsch signature sound and the last 1/4 turn just sets it on fire. The clarity of the notes while playing lead is amazing on both clean and dirty settings. The split coil setting is very cool as well because being a smaller coil the tone slightly leans almost acoustic/peizo like. This is perfect for me because leading worship I need to go from a more acoustic sound during verses to elec power chords in the choruses.

I play the Gretsch through an Egnater seminar head and GC Egnater 4x12 straight cab and am truly getting tones that I have heard only on CD's on the national level. (except for yalls eggie clips  )

Dann Huff ,premier Studio Guitarist originally turned me on to Egnater and Egnater highly recommends Motorcity. so........ follow the tone trail from the best and now I cant believe I am getting those tones.

And on a not so expensive axe...

I am looking fwrd to putting some MCP's on my Pbass and see what happens.

Hats off to Egnater and Motorcity
:D

Got a set of Torques on order :). I know you said they were one of your favorite pickups :). I love my Afwayus in my Heritage LP. I had a HSS set of Afwayus, but in the guitar I put them in they just didn't fit right. So I'm getting a HH set of Torques from Wade to put in that guitar and am using a StewMac "PRS style" 5-way switch. Only difference is that this 5-way switch is a blade style switch instead of a rotary one. The tones in each position are the same though. I can't wait to get my SSS "vintage 57 fender style" pickups back.

Thanks,
Eric

I've got a few sets of MCP's and love them all!Wade's stuff is super and he is one hellavu cool dude to chat with!!!

I can't decide between the Eggie PAF's and the Torque's for my LP......tough decision!!

Ah man, after hearing how great wade's pups are, and how well they match with the egnater (and since I'm never leaving these eggies) I'm getting closer and closer to calling him.. Need to sell some things first.I need something to replace the SCN that came on my strat deluxe, and maybe something for the bridge of my prs singlecut trem.

When the time is right ($$) I'll give him a call; I think it'd be very cool to talk to someone and describe what you want and have them guide you rather than going through a catalog and taking your best guess lol.

I've got a set of Blissbuckers in a VOS LP and it is IT!!!Rich tight and the harmonic tones,AH HELL,I could go on for days with these  I have another set coming for a Gibson SG Diablo that I have sitting here and Oh man,I can"t wait!!!!Wade Rules

I put a set of Detroiters in my LP and they're pretty friggin' sweet. I've been waiting to post some new gear pics until I get my Rebel. My rig is getting a complete overhaul and it's makin' me \:D/

I had my Strat set up with a Detroiter in the bridge position and it screams. Definitely an improvement from the stock single coil that was once in there. I added some noiseless pickups in the neck and mid position and now my Strat is a useful guitar finally. It was always a joy to play, but the hum and lack of meat made it useless. Now, I love playing it again.

The Detroiter rocks. Wade really knows his stuff. It's great to be able to call the guy up, tell him the tones you're looking for, and get his take on what you should use. First class guy all the way and very knowledgeable. Once I get the MOD50, I plan on upgrading the pups in my PRS as well.

So,
If I am going to try one in Bridge position on my Gibson 335.... with myself playing a mix of bluesy to classic rock... usually with a little dirt in the moderate clean tones.. which of the MCP's do you reccommend?

You'll need the BlackBelts- Don't go in the ring unprepared...You might take a serious thrashin" :boxer:

Nice posts guys!!LOL, Thankyou soo much for the kind words and support. All of you have been top of the hat guys and its a real pleasue talking to you all. I learn much talking gear with you all... Any time, Any where-
This yr has been a very busy yr, and we are growing in size and demand but as always promised never sacrificing quality for quantity. I have changed things up in the last few weeks adding some part time help with assembly only usually on thursdays- I wind every coil myself and that will always be. Believe me, I've tryed to teach a few, but there are things you just can't- Besides, winding is an addiction. But, none the less I've got a bit of help in assembly to keep the wait under a week :) Think of it this way " In a ham and egg breakfast, the chicken is involved, but the pig is committed"
The Bliss and Blisster Buckers will be making their official launch very soon as well- Before Christmas. These have been getting fine tuned for over a year now, and have hit is mark with help from some of the absolute best in the industry. I'm supper stoked about these. Currently if you are a forum member here, you can order them.
Also want to thank everyone for the Pm's and genuine positive responses etc. and appologize for not getting back with you all right away. Truth is, I may not visit this forum for a week or 2 at a time, so the best way to get ahold of me is at motorcitypickups@yahoo.com or giving me a ring at 734-495-9304 between 10am and 5pm monday thru friday.
all you guys are top notch catz!! Enough talk, Lets Jamm!!!
Wade- MCP

thanks bliss.

DO you by any chance have sound clips of each of the pickups? I know that gets into consistancy of gear, guitars, etc. but it would be nice to at least hear some comparisions on how specific pickups respond on the same guitar/ amp- in the same stye.

Hey bro, what's the difference between the bliss and the blisster??

I believe the bliss is 8K true PAF...blisster is hotter but not sure how much hotter?

Yep, Wade is a first class cat! The question is, why would I want to buy pickups anywhere else when I get top-notch service AND a pickup wired to whatever I want (and at a reasonable price) at one stop? And man, does he ever know about pickups and custom pickup covers!

Now, which pickup set do I want in my Dean hardtail, the Blisster or the Detroit? Decisions, decisions......

Hey,what did you get!!!!I've got a set of Afwayu's coming  for the Diablo :D

Afwayus!! Yeah baby, those are great. I've got a HSH set with nickel covers in a super strat! They are amazing all around; I love the way they split and clean up.

Solutions (pitch-black covers) and hell babies (custom orange brimstone covers) are in the mail. I'll PM you with a review the hell babies as soon as I get them installed.

All bow to Lord Wader! :worship: :worship: :worship:

These pickups are most definately wound by the power of the dark side.....

LOL!

p.s. what is a Diablo? Sounds evil! :D
