I use an EP-1 single input. They make a dual or stereo input for dual functions, not sure of the model. You also have a spring loaded option so it returns to heel down when you take your foot off.

I've got that one with the spring. I don't remember having to calibrate it.

I use a Roland EV-5.

Not the sturdiest thing around, but it is cheap, it is small, it has a small sweep (I prefer that), and it just plain works without issue.

The mission pedals are nice. They feel pretty much like a crybaby or vox wah pedal. I have 2 that I've been using with no issues. They calibrated easy, but you lose a small amount of physical sweep range (not parameter range since you calibrate them).
I also use a Boss FV-500H for volume and a FV-500L as an additional expression pedal. The boss pedals have a larger physical sweep range, so I like them better for things I want a little more "fine tuning" on the sweep of.
Both pedals are metal and well built.

Great Intel! appreciate that. will order one and check it out. any issues with calibration?
the Mood unit I had wouldn't reach the the top of the expression parameter so I had to tweak it to get it to work right..

No issues. If you want a perfectly linear wide sweep it would not be for you, but for wah or whammy control or whatever I have no issues with it.

What's a solid expression pedal for the axe fx 2?

Thanks in advance!
Rez, where you been hiding? Everyone knows that a expression pedal is not necessary for the Axe-Fx II. You just need to be at a visual distance from the unit and just contract and expand your eye lids and it will respond accordingly. This method works best if you’re in a pitch dark setting. Start out with tweaking preset ID 268 "Streets Have No Name".
