Hey fellers. Just got Superior Drummer 3 and a new Mac Pro tower. The tower has a 250gb SSD drive so needed to learn quickly how to offload my drum libraries and get them on to an external drive but still use them with the apps. Started with EZdrummer 2.

I'll do a new one with SD3 when the time comes. Still downloading!

I have also revised a new format for my vids:
• Quick intro / salutation
• Theme tune/animation
• Overview of topic
• Sounds/Tutorial/etc
• Closing
• Theme tune out

I also got with the times and started making thumbnail art like wha's current.

Wow, perfect timing for me. I just bought EZdrummer and my internal hard drive is already pushing max capacity.

Perfect timing indeed then!

As I said in the other thread, SSD's are cheap. Get one, and put your samples on it. Thank me later.
Actually, while you're at it, buy 2 and use one for your audio drive.
So three HD's:
System drive ( holds the OS and program files )
Audio drive ( audio is recorded and plays back from here )
Samples drive ( drum samples and samples for virtual instruments stream from here )

Sure. Actually USB3 is plenty fast. If you're not moving the drives around then SSD not necessarily required but yes, both are cheap enough now.
