I'm finding different sounds every time I dial my Friedman in but I was wondering what you guys like to do with your KS modded amps or BE builds.

For me, I like the following:

P: 6
B: 7
M: 8
T: 7
M: 2-4
G: BE (10) HBE (7)
SAT: Off
C45: On (BE Only)

Let me know!

VH - on

I think there is a thread like this in the Friedman section :) Also, I think the modded friedmans reacts a bit different compared to the BE-100.

However, i dial mine in like this:
VH flipped on.
Sat on
P:9
B:6
M:7
T:3
Gain: 7

This is my metal/hardrock sorta setting.

My girlfriend is at a conference in Boston so she stole the computer. Digging through on my iPhone would be a PIA.

I feel like my modded Plexo sounds different. Brighter maybe.

I need to get the VH switch installed.

Like to hit the BE & HBE with a ZW-44 thru the front.

Presence: 5
Bass: 5
Middle: 6
Treble: 5.5-6
Master: 2-4
Gain: BE (10) HBE (10)
VH Switch: On
SAT: Off
C45: Off
Fat: Off
Clean: Switch To Left
Loop: Off
Full Power

Some cool suggestions.

I like how C45 adds a little fatness and highs.

I have to monkey more with SAT as I haven't gelled with it yet.

Mine is a modded Marshall ('75 JMP 50 with KS, SAT, FAT, and 6 way high end cut switch) rather than a BE-100, so it probably sounds a bit different.

Here's what I use most often anyway

presence - 2 o clock
bass - pretty much off, but not completely
middle - 2 o clock
treble - 2 o clock, sometimes a little higher depending on the guitar
gain - about 12 o clock (11 o clock with HBE input)

As for the switches on the back, I only really use the C45 (with the BE input) and SAT (with both the BE and HBE inputs)... the FAT switch rarely gets used, as this particular amp has quite a bit of low end (which is why I have the bass control pretty much off). I can't remember where I have the high end cut switch set. I think at the normal setting.

Running it through either a 2x12 with scumback M75s or a 4x12 with scumback BM75s

if I'm seeing that right JL it looks like your cab was made in sept of 1978, I can't really see the numbers for the actual day

Your amp sounds the most in my territory.

Mine is a 71' with BE/HBE/SAT/C45/Depth and some others.

I'm running two BM75's in a 4x12 but I want to add two M75's for an x-pattern.

I think tonight I'm going to monkey with the SAT switch. I pretty much have my BE HBE settings dialed in for at home use (Vol on 3) but I need to mess around a bit.

^ This. I think speakers play a big part in what you'll hear with everyone's settings...as does the guitar and pickups. I figured I'd give you the cab I use as well to give you a better idea where I am coming from.

Are you using straight V30's or the GB/V30 mix?

For me, I've settled on the following:
BE:
P-5
B-8
M-6.5
T-7
M-3
G-8
C45-Off
SAT-Off
Loop- On
Full Power
