Hey guys! Whats your fav OD pedal to boost your Mod50 while keeping the excelent tone but have longer and smooth sustain? I have a zw-od but its agressive and adds some fizz to the tone, the amp sounds way better without it. xotic bb preamp? maxon od808? ....

Hmmm, had my Mod for a bit now and I ended up getting rid of all my pedals (except a wah). I just use the channel B for boost and A for general things like rhythm. Have you tried this? For me it was a little weird to get used to not really needing a little booster pedal (when I did use one it was a hacked TS-5).

I've siad it (at least) once, I'll say it again. I love the Barber LTD. Makes the SL sing, adds girth to the EG5 and EG3/4, the Bman channel B is downright nasty (in a good way) with this little guy. It doesn't have enough gain to take things to mayhem, and it's clear enough to not color the tone of your amp too much.

I use the BB and a TS for modules that don't have a ton of gain on the channel to begin with (BMAN/VX Channel A/etc.). However, if you are trying to boost a module like EG5/SL2X/SL Channel B/etc. and you already have a good amount of gain, then using a boost pedal to drive it further is just going to give you a ton of feedback and not much else. I thought I might be able to use the BB as a boost for channel A on some of my higher gain channels to do solos and what not, but it just makes things to noisey and lots of feedback so I'm sticking with just using channel B for boost on those. If anyone else has been able to use a BB or whatever to boost the higher gain modules and they don't get this kind of situation, I'd love to hear your settings....

BB, But the Barber is sweet too. I've been having some real nice results with a Mad Professor Sweet Honey Over Drive.
