So I just attempted to read the manual and my brain has been officially fried.

All i'm trying to do is set up the midi control with my herbert and g major 2 so that it can switch channels and save effects settings. If any one could help me out I'ld really appreciate it!

Haha Peter, if you of all people can't do it then i'm doomed!

that is the most temperamental and complicated midi board ever. as far as channel switching all you have to do is select the foot channel number you want, dial in the settings on the amp, then press the store switch 2 times on herbie. if your channel doesn't save it might be because the midi cables are in the wrong imputs or... well i dont remember... i havent had a herbert in a few month

i hoped it helped a little at least

keep jammin! :D

Thanks man, but I can't even figure out how to wire it up in the described set up. I know a few other people on here use the FCB, please help!

Well, it should be as simple as FCB Midi Out -> GMajor Midi In and another midi cable from G Major Midi Out (or thru) -> Herbert Midi In.
What exactly doesn't work if you set it up like that?

Thanks man, that seems to work! The only thing I can't figure out now is how to assign the pedal to change the herbert's channels along with the effects selection. Any ideas?

Please see manual and switch the amp
to omni mode.

Thanks Peter,
I just read the manual and tried to get it on omni mode but can't seem to do it. The lights aren't blinking as described.
(Which reminds me, the loop LED is working again, it's a bit strange cause i've had a few LEDs go out for a while and then come back, any ideas what could be causing this?)

Oh cmon man! It´s so easy! Read the manual. You have to set every preset to a separate program change.
F.e. Bank 00 preset 01 is at 1. 02 is at 2, 03 is 3......

Thats all! Just do it.

I'm sorry man, I confess to being completely stupid on this subject. I've never used midi before and what you just wrote meant absolutely nothing to me! I read the instructions from the diezel manual of switching to omni mode but it didn't seem to work. :aww:

No you are not stupid. Do it like i wrote you. It really unbelievable easy. But you have to do it on every presets. But it takes only 5 minutes.
