Nothing beats the MXR Flangers. I was doing some comparisons last night.
They all sound slightly different.
They all sound slightly different.
Of course. . If the regeneration is set too high, they build upon one another and make crazy sounds.Did you turn them all on at once?
Like when you crank the mix level on an Eventide H949If the regeneration is set too high, they build upon one another and make crazy sounds.
Dan doesn't imbed pics, it's basedyo ...
Like any vintage piece, you could have had some bad units… plus people like to fuck around with stuff, so they open up pedals and start turning the micro trim pots, which then makes the pedal sound like crap. Of course I’ve messed with those internal pots, but I know how to set them. For whatever reason I’ve had horrible luck with the few vintage MXR Flangers from weird microphonic squeal to lackluster swoosh. I know they mostly sound great but I gave up and just got the modern EVH. I don’t like the buffer so I run it in a dual looper pedal along with a Vibe that also mucks with your tone.
But for that thing they are great.
