My settings here were a bit unusual for me since the computer mic is like a condenser that captures A LOT of room, so it was too bass heavy.

I use 11's for standard tuning

same here. I don't usually tune lower than E (I might play in drop D here and there) but 95% of the time I'm in E, and I love 11s

but the Les paul came with 10s and I haven't changed them. with 11 those lower tunings sound a bit better than with 10s, plus the tension is better
