Finally got my Guitar Room Organized - Reduced the Clutter so I can focus on playing

I am one of those people that if there is clutter I can't work.
In some ways it is good and in some ways it is bad.
I always admire how some people can have a mess and just start working and be productive.
That is not me...
I need to be organized before I start anything.

Same with my guitars, amps, pedals, if it is a mess I can't even think of playing.
That is why i like minimal pedals, in a perfect world my amps would have delay/reverb, and a TS808 built in, but unfortunately that is not the case.

So yesterday the humidity in the house finally is at 36% so I was able to hang my guitars up for a bit and take the time to organize my amps and pedals to see how my guitar room would best function for me.

Recently I cut down from 15 guitars to 6 guitars, so I have a lot of free space to fill. I had to get creative.
On a positive note, my wife said I will need to buy another amp since one of them will be traveling to our vacation home with my Ibanez Prestige.
She even thinks I should buy another guitar, but I can just hang more stuff where the Ibanez is and it will look cool.

Are any of you guys/gals like this or can you just play no matter what?

Which model of Prestige is that Howie? Looks cool.

I've definitely got to get my guitar room cleaned up.

It is an Ibanez Prestige RG652AHMFX
It is a hardtail, no trem.
Great guitar with great specs...
$1500 Brand New with a killer abs case, locking tuners, Dimarzio Tone Zone and Air Norton Pick-ups, and a super fast neck with jumbo frets.
When I was cutting down my gear, this made the cut over my 2000 PRS Custom 24 core.

This happens to me also, it needs to be pretty non trashed
Pedals are the most difficult to organize.
I have my delays in the loop behind the amp or on top of them.
The pedalboard in front has to be mini pedals.
I have 3 mini pedalboards, but that one is my favorite.

My pedalboard is a constant work in progress as far as sometimes i put a delay, sometimes i try a new boost, so i keep it spread out to try things easier.

And i dont need tiny pedals

Funnily enough I did the same recently. It has made me enjoy playing a lot more again. Cleanliness is next to Godliness I guess.

I like to have a clean room. I get into pickup swap mode or trying different things and it gets messy. I’ll work like that a few days then clean it up.

I love putting on some college baseball or YouTube while I’m working on something. Here was my desk last night, but cleaned it all up this morning.

I learned to live in the rat shit infested squalor of a gross singlewide for 3 years so I don't need operating room levels of cleanliness to focus on my guitar anymore. I have a flush toilet now and hot water on demand so I am pretty much living the pinnacle of the American dream.
Flush toilet and running water are must haves!

Looks super clean Howie

Not sure how I feel about the fake hanging ivy :dunno:
I got that from my wife, as long as it doesn't scratch my guitars I am fine.
She would rather have guitars hanging there, but I just cut down.
I could buy some cheapo guitars and hang them, but I would rather have the Ivy than a hanging ornament.

Its cool man. I was just busting chops. I actually prefer the space in between the guitars more. But happy wife, happy life!

I wish I could only work in a super organized environment. It might give me motivation to straighten up around here. The place where I work and play music is technically clean, as in not dirty or dusty, but there's clutter everywhere.

My problem is I can't work in clutter, so it would stop me from being productive.
Clean is one thing, clutter is not dirt, just not organized.
Clean is a must.

I wouldn't be able to function with that much space on my board. Where is the phaser? Delay? You have room for a vibe of some sort! At least get a Wacky Waving Inflatable Arm Flailing Tube Man or a hair fan or something!

Whenever I do something like this, I also love sharing it. I also don’t take before pictures lol. Looks like a fun room.

I would much rather have a separate closed off room so I would not have to worry about bothering other people, but other than that it is a nice space to play
