...and it's even better than I thought it would be. I picked up the guitar back in the 90's after hearing Eddie and to finally be plugged into something dishing up something along the lines of that sound I idolized back in highschool is wild. Dave hit a homerun with this amp.
I dialed it in way hotter than I think most of the other videos out there and the aggressive upper end translated really well on stage this past weekend. That's just how I dial my stuff in. Some people like it, some people not so much.
Cliff notes:
* Sounds incredible
* EZ mode for good brown sound EVH tones with the right cab
* Extremely usable at all volume levels thanks to PPIV MV
* Variac mode feels great for lead work
* Bright caps on volume II open up a big new ranges of sounds I didn't have on my 68 Superlead clone
* Amp smells amazing
