So...I’ve been using the TC HoF mini v1 for years. Come to think of it, other than a Boss RV-something and a short stint with a Strymon, I e used TC Reverb for the majority of the last 15 years or so. I’m keeping it, but looking for other Reverb pedal suggestions.

Here is what I would prefer.

I need Something with a few Reverb options, one being a GOOD plate. I have been looking at Dr Scientist Reverberator.

Don’t need the following...

A pedal with a ton of versatility and a ton of knobs. Typically I love this, but I sold my Strymon because I used it for 1 sound in the loop and the other 97% was never used at all.

A Boss RV nor Big/blue sky. Both awesome, however.
A spring Reverb
A TC Reverb

I just kicked my HOF mini off my board this week after years of use. I replaced it with the Keeley Omni. So far I like it, nice and simple with three reverb’s to choose and a great paint job.

My favorite reverb pedal is the Oceans 12, it sounds fantastic with tons of choices. The cool thing is, it can be advanced if you want or not - set two presets and your good to go.

The RV7's have been drifting up in price recently, might be able to score a polara for less and it has the same algos except 1.

I am also a big fan of the boss RV6. Digitech RV7 or polara is better if you don't want super wet and ambient verb, where the boss wins in versatility and can do super wet verb no issue. Based on my head to head comparison a few years ago, I liked the plate and spring better on the digitech.

I agree with the others that the plate on the Digitech RV-7 is great. I could’ve stopped there, but moved to a lexicon MPX1 because I can’t help myself.

Gotta say I love my Digitech Hardwire RV-7. I think I'm in Room or Hall mode right now but Spring and Plate all of it sounds good to me. It has just enough options without being overly complex or overly wet as mentioned.

Lol, that is funny because I have done the same. I got a RV-7 a few years ago, before the prices started getting crazy, and picked up a MPX-1 earlier this year. I can definitely hear the similarity. I think I read somewhere the RV-7 / Polaria was taken / based on the MPX-1.

I would probably look for a Polara these days as mentioned above. It still has that Lexicon linage that all the latest Digitech Reverbs had.

EDIT: I have never had a Hall of Fame, but I have a G Major 2, which is based on the same effects. The TC Reverb is definitely more hi-fi compared to the Lexicon sound. I would probably also look at a Source Audio Super Collider, but that is probably more complex than what you are looking for.
