I'm matt, I play a 6 stringed electric violin and guitar and use a lot of modular analog synth gear with my music.

I just got done playing 50-70 amps in a ton of different stores.. and the egnater totally took me by suprise!
needless to say my 4100 came last week, and I will be getting the 2x12 cab when it is released. I am totally digging this thing right now.

looking forward to hearing what you are all up to on your egs

Welcome! I've got a gig with Mark Wood this weekend where he is going to join my band live and play some Dregs and free form stuff with us. If he can get it together fast enough, he may also play some of Jerry Goodman's parts from our album. FYI, Jerry used all Egnater when he tracked it.

Welcome aboard Matt!

I saw TSO last November, not sure if Mark Wood was playing with them but, what a show!

It rocked!!!!

Mark plays on all the East coast tours of TSO.. the midwest/ East tour has a different lineup. you would have seen him with the neon violin at some point int he show.

John, enjoy your gig with him.. he is quite a magnetic stage personality, and heck of a player.

The funny thing is he uses an old Zoom digital processor for his tradmark sound..... and still swears by it today... watch for that onstage... :)

you are right about that...

Unfortunately Mark didn't play any of our (ridiculous) material with us as it would have taken a lot of work for him to read/learn, so I composed a structured jam piece for him that he could more easily hop into. (if you want to feel his pain, go here: http://www.hecticwatermelon.com/scores.cfm - sorry, the score download area needs an email, but you can always download them and then unsubscribe to trick the system) Ultimately, it was cool to play with a violin player again and we also did Cruise Control by the Dregs - which Mark did learn for the show. He had a blast sitting on the HWM rocket! Speaking of violin players and the Dregs, I spoke with Jerry Goodman recently about getting our schedules together for HWM no. 2! I have at least four tunes for the next album that will incorporate Jerry again. I can't wait to get going on that! It will be fun to dial in some new tones for Jerry with some other modules I've picked up since our last album.

John, turns out I know the girl who filmed (it sounded officially filmed) your show with Mark ... from another forum. small world.

I I remember.... she is eyeing the tiny tenor.. I am going to try to turn her to the rebel :)

I'd love to see some footage of when Mark joined us. We laid out a jam tune for him with several sections to solo over, etc. that we ran through a few times in sound check. Then he joined us for a cover of "Cruise Control" by the Dregs.

The girl is getting the ok from Laura, i will let you know when I see em :) she got a jam, and the dixie dregs song....

Was Rachel Barton at your show? i couldn't tell if she was at that show, or one clsoe to it.... if so, and she had her "nicer than any other I have heard or touched " violin you may have shared the stage with 5+ million dollars worth of wood:)
