Hey Guys.

I hope everyone is well!

It’s been guite a few years since I’ve bought an amp. Still VERY happy with my Henning Cherry Bomb, However, the Synergy stuff has been on my mind for some time now, in particular, the SYN50.

Decided to scratch that itch and ordered a SYN50 with IICP and Ultra Lead modules today.

Pretty excited for its arrival. I was into the Randall and a Egnater modular stuff extensively years back and really dug it...especially the modded modules. Always preferred the head setup over the rack versions, in particular the Egnater MOD 50. It was my favorite power source of all that I tried.

Pretty stoked for my first NAD in a long time,
T

Congrats man! I still have all of the amazing tubes you gifted my way to try in my Henning Cherry bomb ages ago.

Excited to see what you think of the synergy gear and what you can do with it. The tones you get from your CB are great. I could never get mine to feel right under the fingers.

Sweet. How you doing bro? That iicp is the one I want.

I always hear the Synergy head power amps have some extra mojo going

I hope you enjoy, kimg 👑

Nice! I was big into the Randall MTS stuff back in the day and wish I would have kept a few of the modded modules that I sold. Namely the Salvation Mashall+ and JF Brahma.

My main rig for a couple years now has been a SYN-1 into a Powerstation. On occasion I will run the SYN-1 into the power amp of a JCM800, or other amp that I have around, but the PS2 is working out just fine. I have also heard that the Synergy heads have a little something extra to them but I have not played one yet.

I still have and love my Mod50. I just picked up the Synergy Uber module and it’s pretty badass.

Nice! The Synergy stuff is awesome. I liked the PB and Ultra modules the best.

Congrats! Good choice on the IICP and UL. I have those and they're 2 of the best modules. Great thing with the synergy stuff is it's backwards compatible if you ever wanted to revisit some of those Randall/Egnater modules you had.

Grats! IICP is one of my favorite modules, for sure. Ultralead is also awesome in its own way; definitely a unique voicing that other amps can't really get.

Would like your opinion once you get some time with it.

Thanks everyone. I’m pretty excited about it.

For those that have experience with Mark series Mesa’s and the Synergy IICP, do the controls respond similarly?

They respond just like the real amp, so make sure to dial it in similarly. Bass and mids essentially off, treble and input around max, V curve, etc.

Pretty similar, except the graphic is more sensitive. The 6600 slider will slice your ears off.

Thank you! I’ve owned a shit ton of Mark series amps including quite a few c+’s, so I will be right at home then👍

Haven’t had GAS for a long time, but I’m already thinking about what modules I will get next ...HA!

Thinking about the Uber.

Any other suggestions?

Hey Tony!!! Good to see ya tone chasing again. 😉 I'm REALLY curious on your thoughts when you get it, I've avoided looking at these for a while, went down the module rabbit hole with Randall and Egnater around the same time you did, now I'm looking into these, please let me know what you think. I'm intrigued.
