So two weeks ago, I "got rid" of my Mesa Road King and got a Renegade.
I also ditched my Boss GT8 and will be premiering my new pedalboard, which includes a Vox 847 wah, Fulldrive II, Tonebone Hot British, and a Line 6 M9.

I'm super excited, yet a little anxious. :)

Wish me luck! I'll report back when I can with maybe vids and/or pics, but I'm flying to London tomorrow.

I did the same as you, a couple of months ago. Gig went fantastic, didn't even use my overdrive pedals. The second master was fantastic to have. Renegade is the best Fender clean, Marshall Krang, in one box, IMHO, love it! Good luck!

Quick update (from London, sitting in a boring meeting): the Renegade sounded really great, and I'm happy with my choice.
Of course, there's plenty of tweaking to be made, but the feedback I got, and what I heard myself was all really good.

I'm glad I decided to simplify my rig. It's a whole new world :)

Just did my fourth gig with renegade. It seems every gig the amp gets better. That solo boost, should be on every amp made IMHO. The big thing on the renegade(for me) is the clean and crunch channels work well together, they don't sound like they come from different planets (know what I mean?). I've spent thousands more, for a lot less amp (not kidding)

I still have a lot to explore and learn about the Renegade, but I really am digging it.
I spent a lot of time on the clean channel, throwing a couple of cool overdrives in front, and it worked out really well.
This is coming from a guy who NEVER relied on pedals for overdrive. But the Renegade's clean channel takes them so well, and I effectively get the equivalent of several very distinct channels.

And the solo boost, I had on my Road King. Hard to live without it.

I'm using the clean channel most of the time too. I'm using a compressor pedal (never used a comp pedal before) and a TS808 almost like an eq pedal (love the mids on the TS) My first gig I only used a line 6 m9 into the effects loop (sounded great) and no overdrive pedals. Just switched back to my pedals, still figuring it out too. Oh I did go to KT-66's for my clean channel and use both the kt-66's and the el34 together for the second channel. Tube wise I think the stock power tubes are really good but, did like the KT-66's better. I did mess a lot with different 12ax7 tubes but, again stock tubes are pretty good IMHO.

My setup is:

Guitar -> (wireless) -> Vox wah -> Fulldrive II -> Tonebone Hot British -> Renegade
And then I have a volume pedal in front of an M9 in the loop.

Pretty versatile. I might look at a compressor as well. Never figured that out before :)

what is the volume pedal for in the loop? Sorry if its a stupid question

It's not stupid at all.
I always put my volume pedal in the loop, because it doesn't change the tone; in front of the amp, it will directly affect the gain, which is not my goal. I can use my guitar's volume pot for that.

I use the pedal to quiet down when I don't play, vary volume for some passages and for volume swells too (usually with a nice delay after it).

Make sense?
