First impression on the MCP Single Coil lava hot Bridge

Hell ya..its got the vibe I want..open yet it has balls. Roll it back and its got the single jangle...Noisy as hell due to my dimmer and ecco friendly fluorescent bulbs. Only installed the bridge. THis is awesome for a hot single coil!
 
Gimme some specs Jeff. Wire guage, magnet, baseplate, etc?

Making a single coil sound good in the bridge of a strat is no easy feat. A stock strat single coil is perhaps my least favorite pickup tone ever. No balls, all icepicky thin razor treble mess.

I just had a custom wound Duncan made for me. Basically, a 8.5K overwound bridge pickup, with a tele baseplate, and A5 magnets. it's incredible.
 
Wades got some magical singles he's doing for me as we speak and a bucker to match,I love Wades creations man!!!!!!!!!!!!

Man, I don't doubt I'd love the MCP stuff.

But I'm so OCD, that i'd want MCP pickups in ALL my guitars. And that would involve me coming up with about 2K for pickups alone! :doh:

YEP!!!!I will have then in my Suhr in a few days!!!!!HSS MCP baby :D my fucking mouth is watering,I absolutely love the Suhr but the pups,the singles sound good but I've only compared them to some rio grande dirty harrys and some fender anlico 5 things and they burned them but I know I'm in good hands :yes:

Yeah I'm a bit OCD that way too, but I get around it by upgrading all my favorite guitars first and I space it all out over a few years. That way I get to enjoy the MCP goodness in my favorite players right from the start. It's totally worth it Nick!

I've got 1 guitar to go.....
 
Sounds way cool Jeff!! I'm getting Wade to wind me a set of 2nd degree Black Belts based on the big clip shootout. Damn thing sounded awesome! These will kill in my VOS Les Paul.
