It's meanie, crunchy and then pissed AF when turned up. Definitely interesting. Not a metal monster tho.

From the video it seems similar to how I remember my Mzero OD. In person it sounded very big, moved a lot of air and was raw and organic, but the tone itself was a bit loose, round for my taste and wasn’t complete enough in growl on powerchords. I think just those latter qualities are what translates to the recording unfortunately. I think other guy’s demos will probably show the amp better even if it still ends up not sounding as interesting. I bet it at least would probably sound huge in person with that kind of power section

I mean the JP2C in this video eats the apocalypse. Just downright brutal af.

the beginning of Ola’s video of this el34 iconic sounds more metal and is $4,000 cheaper.

mezza's just arent my thing, the whole time im watching the vid looking at kyles wonderful stack of amps thinking why would i play this over any of those, and its probably the most expensive

I mean these amps couldn’t be more dissimilar, not sure how you could even compare them. The front of these amps are obviously worlds apart.

That’s the whole point.

On top of it they’re also $1500+ apart new. I’d expect a $5000 amp to hang with a Mesa mark III/IV/V/VII or JP2C. Wizards have no problem with it. When you start to throw those baller dollar numbers around you start comparing it to what’s available on the market and also resale. Unless you just like throwing money in the trash or not getting the best bang for your buck.

Different strokes.

This forum never leaves me hanging 😂

Comparing clips that were recorded completely differently with totally different gear and on the opposite ends of the design spectrum is always a great way to judge an amplifier.

I’ve said this so many times and the guys I see making these judgements are the same guys saying “don’t judge an amp until you play it” so it’s just kinda fun to watch it unfold.

For real though, everybody is entitled to their own opinion and it doesn’t bother me at all if you don’t like my portrayal of an amp. I truly just don’t understand the apples to oranges comparisons.

We're familiar with what your recordings usually sound like, and it's usually much better than this. Can't get more apples to apples than that.

I’m clearly talking about the guys comparing it to Ola’s videos. Sorry to hit a nerve.
