First song recorded for the demo. It's a ballad!

What's up guys?! Finally finished recording one song for the demo. Looking for some input on the mix. What could be done to make it better? Couple of things to point out first: THIS IS NOT COMPLICATED STUFF HERE. The music is pretty darn simple actually, but we hoped that everything blended together would make for a pretty decent song. I have spent many hours over the past few weeks recording, re-recording, mixing, and eq'ing. It's been tough. Especially with some of the equipment we've used. Sorry if this is not really the style that you guys are into. Again, I'm more interested in hearing about the mixing stuff. This is the first full band recording I have ever made. I'm kinda just learning as I'm going. Also, I do not have any real monitors. Spent too much money on other things to even record. I've just been a/b ing things over and over and listening in the car, with these sony MDR-7506 headphones, and on my surround sound in the living room. Lots and lots of work. Also, no de-essor and it is a little noisy at the beginning...bare with me im a noob at this :lol: :LOL: :lol: :LOL: . I used eq to try and de-ess. Thanks for any critique and tips! It will be much welcomed.

It took a minute or two for it to load for me when I clicked to make sure the link worked. It's a big file.
