Fish Shark Channel

I've got tons of gain on my Shark Channel. It sounds like a hotrodded Plexi, its so awesome! I'm wondering if other Fish owners have a ton of gain on the Shark channel as well. Very early VH sounding! I don't remember my other original FISH having a ton of Gain (Balls) on the Shark... ?

I thought the Shark had tons of gain, open uncompressed type of gain to me. Not quite early VH era, but similar I would say.

Sounds similar to a Jose mod but I'm only guessing. How much gain does a standard Shark channel have. (balls)

Stock I would call it mid gain, not Jose type gain, even mid modified Jose type gain. If you have not done so I would check out the RJM Tone Merchants demo and listen to this channel to compare to what you are hearing. You may have some hot preamp tubes in there, or maybe just a great unit, depending on what you define great as.....

The Tone Merch clip never really cranks the gain on the Shark ch, but it could sound similar. Anyway Im downloading a clip to YouTube as I type this.
