Fogottej killer tone

I know he used his 800 in the 80s but this album sounds way darker and way more Metallica . So did Scot use Dans boogies this time around ? Does not sound like his bright Marshall tone prior to this album .
Any how this tone crushes

Same Marshall/TC/g12-80 rig. Most of the album is in lower tunings. That would account for the darker tone. Only a few songs in standard

You sure . Because Scott did start switching his amps after this I’m positive . But it just don’t sound like a Marshall . But you’re probably right . The guys that mastered said this album was how they wanted to mix and justice for all . So maybe they fucked with his fines in the mix too . But ya those 2 dudes have said this alot . It just sounds so different than everything before

I was front row for first reunion with Joey in a club . Scott’s Randall tone was horrible . Sounded like a bedroom guitarist using a tiny crate pta tube amp . It was stupid fuzzy
