I have a newbie question regarding foot controllers for the Herbert. I have an older Bradshaw/Roctron switching unit. Can I use just the pedal to switch the Herbert? If not, can I use the entire unit (pedal and rack mounted unit) to switch the Herbert? Thanks

I take it that the pedal is a midi pedal and that the rack unit converts midi into analogue switching, right? To switch amps like a Boogie via midi.
If it is such a unit, you can use the (midi) pedal - no need for the rack thing. Herbert speaks midi.

With which kind of cable the pedal is hooked to the rack unit?

A pic would help too - or the "name" of your pedal/unit.

Its a Bradshaw switching system. The rack unit and the pedal.

That should be a midi unit.

My guess is that it would be better to sell the whole unit for big $$$ and get a good midi pedal, which can be phantom powered by Herbie, like a Nobels MF-2 or a Diezel Columbus. This way you would make somebody with a rare Bradshaw unit happy.

Nobels: www.nobels.com
Columbus: your Diezel dealer

How well does the RFX Midibuddy work with the Herbert? Any thoughts on this unit?
