Footswitch Pop?

Just picked up a used Einstein 50-watt head (by the way, love the sound - this thing rocks!).

Only issue is there is a distinct "popping" sound when changing Channels and you can definitely hear it when changing to Mode 1 on the first channel.

Is there a fix, or something I can do on my end at all to get rid of it?

tube prob maybe? swap some preamp tubes and see if it gets better?

I'll try that tonight - not sure what preamp tubes are in there. Plus, this gives me a good excuse to try some from my NOS stash

I'm not sure what your problem is, but my Einstein switches flawlessly.

The only amps I've played that make an notoriously loud popping sound are VHT's. . . but there's a reason I'm not playing VHT's anymore, ahahahhaaha.

FYI - swapped out a couple of my 12ax7's and the problem is solved.
