I have my "speaker whorehouse" up for grabs here -> viewtopic.php?f=6&t=46109

I have 19 for sale at first...with probably another 4-6 on top of that when all is said and done.

For me...I've just found my tone w/ a Elite 80 and a G12T75. I'm going to keep one Weber Blue Dog, and one Weber Silver Bell. I have a Weber 12M on order...so...we'll see how that is to know if I'll keep it around or not.

WOW me too. I have a homemade 212 ADA style and it sucks and is tinny, Guess I need a TM412 or 2 more TM212s with the CL80/G12T75s. Either way I might need another G12T75. :D

I will be having some G12T75s come up for sale in the next few days. I got a line on a set of NOS G12T75s from the 80s w/ the 1777 cone in it. That's a killer cone that's used on a lot of other great speakers from back then. So, alot of my newer G12T75s will be up for sale really soon!

I was at a Guinness 250th anniversary tasting tonight. I still haven't tried the 80/75 mix in my Trace 412. :(

Tomorrow, I'm going to a bourbon tasting with Fred Noe IV (Jim Beam guy).

I did to play my new Digitech 1101 for about an hour today. Interesting unit. Intuitive. Not sure if I like the models yet. It might be just the ticket for FX though, in general;.

Yeah man..I was looking at that unit on their website. Looks pretty damn good. So how's it really stack up next to that monster 2290 ;)

I'll tell you after I try it with the big boy preamps and power amps.

I just used the internal models and plugged into the seminar head fx return.

Gene...we need to have a guitar junkies day at Sweetwater soon damn it. Once I get my rig built...I'll haul it over...and I fuckin wanna play that IE4. Which will probably then lead to a case of GAS for a Red IE4 :).

I have all the parts on it's way to do my build. CAE Line Mixer, got the Line 6 Mod Pro / Filter Pro...Decimator is on it's way... The Randall single channel mods to send to Anthony are on its way too! :) I forsee a Custom 3 and Ubersonic in my near-term future!

Eric

Gene,

Would be great to hear your thoughts on the 1101, effects mostly, but including the models too. when you have time. Also how well integrating external preamps, and effect placement before or after works? I like that the Axe-Fx lets you insert the Loop block (e.g. for preamps, or whatever) anywhere in the signal chain. The G-System puts the loops up front AFAIK?

Dude, I thought you were loving the Webers? Didn't you say they were smoother with better articulation over the Celestions?

I'll post a topic and start getting a feel for a good time to do it. I'm going to be fairly busy this wedding season (sep-oct).

How soon is too soon to have it? etc.

I'll email Robert "Fatang" Williams again and see what he thinks about us getting a big room at sweetwater. also, remember, WE AREN'T ALLOWED TO CALL IT EGNATER FEST. Sweetwater is not a dealer. Robert made it sound like we need to call it Rigtalkfest or something.

Thus far, the models don't really sound very amp like to me :( BUT, I've always liked Digitechs reverbs and choruses. PLUS, the 1101 DOES do pre and post preamp fx, and it allows you to insert your external preamp into the mix.

I honestly don't care the name. And I would rather it be Rig-talk.comfest anyways. Get more ppl outside of the Eggie forum there! :)

And...ahem...Jeff...why isn't Sweetwater a dealer!!! :) One of the best music stores on the planet doesn't happen to have any Eggie gear!!! :)

Although I could approach them for modular...GC would not be happy with it.

I still really do like the Webers...hence the reason why I'm keeping one Silver Bell...and one Blue Dog. The CL80 / G12T75 covers the heavier stuff just a bit better than the Blue Dog / Silver Bell. If I were in a blues band, classic rock band...I'd definitely be using the Blue Dog / Silver Bell. Over the next 4-5 months I plan on adding a couple more TM212s to my arsenal...or at least one more. Those speakers are earmarked for one of my future TM212s for sure!

Eric, you know you want to try the Neos! I talked to my friend again last night and the man swear by the Neos after trying everything. He plays the heavies as well.

By the way, when I contacted Weber they said the Neos were killer and..........well priced.

Actually I have no care to try the Neos. :) Honestly. Not that they aren't great speakers. I'm just so damn happy w/ my T75 / CL80 combo. I'm sick of swapping speakers!
