I agree. Its so hilarious to hang out on the gear space (gearslutz) forum and see all the cork sniffers on there insisting every piece of recording gear you need has to have a 10k+ price tag for pro results. That's funny because the conversion of all the current sub 1k prosumer gear available smokes the technology of the those legendary 60's/70's/80's. Its all on what you do with what resources you have and more importantly the quality of the artists music you're recording.

With that said, that price isn't terrible. Dave Grohl bought the Sound City Neve Console for over a mil.

Also, what a legendary console. Can you imagine all the lines of coke done and the pussy juice dripped on that thing? There are stories for days about that console I'm sure.

Tbh he's right - speakers are the only thing that matters when you use the Kirkland signature © YouTube Metal™ formula

emgs, an 808, high gain amp with the gain set too high and the volume too low, dv77 or V30, 57, and 1073 preamp for literally every fucking recording

Of course the speaker is going to change the tone most, he dials all his tones in to sound like the white trash Fischer price version of clayman
