My Einstein gets really, really heavy. Especially when I hit it with a boost.

No amp I have ever played though out heavies my Landmine. That thing has wayyyy too much gain. It's ridiculous. Only good through the cleanest amp imaginable.

With a stratocaster?!

I don't see needing more gain than Einstein has.

Joey,

I checked out the vid. I have an Einstein myself! Honestly I think it could be better quality...there's not really much tone being heard with whatever you are using man, it could be so much better! The cleans come through "OK," but man if you put an E609 or SM57 on your Framus cab and record it that way, it would sound so much better. Check out some M-Audio modules to use with a mic so you can record directly into your computer! You HAVE to unleash those BRUTAL tones to our ears!!!

Hey Neuro, thanks for the advice bro :D

Actually I have a few recording toys, so far my recording rig goes like this:

-Computer: Black MacBook C2D 2gb Ram
-Recording Interface: Metric Halo ULN-2
-Mics: Shure SM57/AKG D880/Audio Technica AT2020 condenser
-Monitors: M-Audio BX5a
-DAW: Logic Express 8/ProTools M-Powered.
-Misc.: M-Audio Trigger Finger (to program drums)
-Extra plug-ins: Toontrack's EZdrummer.

I used to use ProTools with my M-audio 410 Firewire interface but it got stolen, so I bought the Metric Halo + Logic Express 8 as my new DAW/Interface combo. Since the 410 got stolen so right now I can't really use ProTools, but it's ok because I'm VERY happy with Logic E. 8. I'll try to buy some yeap M-audio interface later on so I can use protools (Slave it and use the M.H. pre's)

As you can see I have a few toys to play with, but 3 weeks ago my Metric Halo interface got fried, so I had to send it to the factory to get it fixed, and it's still not here with me. I'll make more clips with the Einnie mic'd but I was so thrilled with the new Diezel, that I had to record a few videos using my crappy built in mic. As you noticed the sound is somewhat "lacking" right? hehe, but I'm sure it'll sound way better once it's mic'd.

If you wanna see how the Metric Halo pre's sound, I have a few videos where my Mesa F-50 is mic'd.

cheers man, thanks for the advice though

No problem man, best of luck to you. Let me know if you have any questions about the Einstein, its a great amp and you'll enjoy it for a long while. Where are you located at?

I will man, thanks

The Einstein is one trully amazing amp.... hell and I'm still getting used to it, to the way the knobs interact with each other, and stuff. Learning how to play with Deep and Presence (I've never owned an amp with either), so it's a ride

I'm from Dominican Republic but I'm living in Barcelona at the moment.

Oh, Barcelona huh? Nice...

I've found the Deep and Presence knobs VERY essential to shaping this amps sound. I ALWAYS keep the Deep fairly low, even with my Strat (about 8 o'clock). This keeps the low mids not too heavy in the mix (I think), which can easily muddy up your overdriven sounds. For more full-bodied cleans though, you can turn up the Deep a little and it works great in my opinion. I still keep it low because the cleans are already amazing just about anywhere o this amp. My Presence is usually at about 9 o'clock. I've always been careful with the Presence knob too because it controls even higher frequencies than the treble does. While this can make your guitar cut through the mix and make it brighter, it can make your tone pretty harsh and ear piercing. Many people just crank up the presence without realizing this! Or, I dont know, this could be just common knowledge...

Check your PM's bro!
