What is Thou my penance for this transgresion?????????? for I remorse, in my iniquity..............and my shame.

However, thou hast not providith a voxish rebelish, and my desire was too great within me. and I.......then fell from grace.

Lynch him!

Just kidding! Those are great amps. Funny you said that because right before I bought the M4, I was looking at buying a Vox Hand Wired AC30. It still outdoes the Vx module for me, but I'll bet the speakers I am using vs. the ones in the anniversary Vox had something to do with that.

If I didn't have the M4 and had to get the amps the modules are based off of, I'd probably have gone with a Hayseed and a Plexi-type head, with an attenuator.

That's why I'm glad I have the M4!!!

Unfortunately, if I ever change anything it will probably be to add more speaker cabs/speaker variations.

Please let us know how the module vs. the real thing stack up--clips preferred!

The Vox module in the Mod 50 is awesome. The Mod 50 is owned by our church and I am trying to build up my personal gear, which is the seminar amp and GC egnater 4x12. I didnt realize I had such a deep personal resonance with the vox tone until the module and my Gretsch. so, Either I wait for the e2 or get a Randall rm 20 w/one channel , a mod 50 or just the real thing. So a deal came up and there I went.

Its a AC30cc1 chinese reissue 1x12 w/a weber silver alnico speaker, bright cap taken out, upgraded tubes and it sounds real good Paid $550.00. The weber silver leans it more toward a marshall vibe and I would love to try a Celestion Gold in it. The Silver is way better speaker than stock. One inexpensive way to get into the Vox is to get the chinese reissue (or the hand wired) and have it moded by someone like Lyle Caldwell in memphis Tnn. He will get it to the same tone as an vintage AC30 compared side by side clean and dist, and it will hold up. Also the Vox ac30cc amp chassis is the same and can be put in a separate head or 2x12 combo cab etc.

Our church will end up getting a 2x12 cab with Blue or gold celestions as alternative speakers for the Mod50/vox which should be spectacular.

Vx module is my favorite one! I never realized that's what vox's sounded like, and it made a fan out of me. I have my 6th module coming in the mail, but once I've played/had them all, I'm probably going to get a second Vx module, that's how much I love it. To me it just sounds great all along the gain spectrum.

Funny you should say that. I was actually thinking when I get a E2 I would put 2 vox modules in there and have 4 CH/settings across the board.

I just wanted to say thanks for sharing your sin my son. Though I'm sure you will pay for it handsomely in penance of a sort yet unknown to mortals. I'll try to help save you from the pain and discomfort of buyer's remorse by bringin' you some cash today (he bought my 67 Super Reverb). I can't wait to see, slash, hear the Vox . It's always a treat to listen to good old gear from the past, especially in the hands of someone as accomplished as yourself. It isn't just playing , rather coaxing, caressing, ... I may need some quiet time just to ponder it all. Sometime you'll have to take me to see and meet this source of the ancients (I always come up with different cool amps). Does he have an old Bandmaster laying around ?

Just remember that the Devil resides in rock my child . Howsoever you may receive favor even in the light of your sinful transgression of immediate and apparent intense gratification. Your salvation lies within the sweet and heavenly tunes you may, and so must extract from the ancient tubes of purity. By your own hands you must conjoin yourself with it, and so with it enlighten the troubled masses to the glory and salvation of musical praise. In this and by this act of contrition you shall not only be saved, nay, revered even as a saint of the highest fidelity.

an email from a friend I thought was funny :D
