That's cool that it resurfaced... Alot of quality parts in there. I was a couple of years behind you with my first plexi build circa 2008.

I hope you are able the get it back, I'm sure you have some mods in mind.

My first build is pretty similar, but in a purple head cab. I put Merren iron in it and it sounds heavenly. I'll never sell it. I think I have about $1300 into it.

That guy is always flipping gear. He has some neat stuff. He's on FB groups too in case you need to get a hold of him.

It looks like you turned this thing into a 2203 cascaded preamp.

Were you running an overdrive in the clips? The amp sounds good, like a slightly gained up 2203.

Good luck, there's some gear I let go over the years that I really wish I could find and buy back...

oh yeah!!! there are a few things i would love to get back. that last charvel custom i had was so bad ass, but foolishly let it go!

Yes, it was a 2203 type circuit, straight in. I don’t recall the entire specs, but likely beefed up cathode bypass on the 2nd and 3rd stage. I remember the peaking circuit between the 1st and 2nd stage being different to so the amp would clean up better (list around 0:59) and the depth circuit at the time was non standard.

I hope you can get it back
Amp has some nice clank for sure.
Why does seller reference Metropoulos?
Cool you got some props on that add and he doesn't know you.
Can I ask how much you sold it for?
I hope everything ended up working out for your son,
and respect you for doing the right thing

He references Metro since I used the metro-spec heyboer transformers. I sold it stupid cheap, like $600. My son is fine. He was just born a premie and between him and my wife insurance still didn’t cover everything. No long term issues thankful

Nice! Hope you get it.

My first build was a SLO clone. I traded it for my Vintage VHT Pitbull. I actually told the guy if he was going to get rid of it to let me know, and i'd buy it back. But he did not let me know when he sold it 😢
