Thank you so much Dave! I’m kind of looking for a needle in a haystack… I’m looking for original knobs, Not repros…
They are going on a ‘68 Superlead 100...
Hope you’re doing well brother, inspite of this world of insanity.
The knobs from Valvestorm are not repros. Those knobs were made for both Scott and Marshall 40+ years ago, with the only difference being the shaft hole diameter. I have a couple sets of them. Legit knobs.
What everyone else says about the Scott knobs at Valvestorm is true. I put them on my 69 build and they are identical to all my vintage Marshall knobs I have on my 72 and 68. Valvestorm already drills them out to 1/4" to fit the pot stem diameter for you.
Unless you are looking for the Marshall knobs with pointers on them which din't show up until the late 70's I believe.
I just received these and I ordered a couple more sets, these are bang on, Exactly the same as the originals… even the letters / numbers / codes on the underside!
Thank you (Dave) and fellas!
Have a fantastic weekend,
keith

I did this years ago. I have around 20 Scott’s knobs that look like Marshall knobs, but they aren’t drilled for the 1/4 inch shaft yet. I paid like $15 for them. Same with the cheese head cabinet screws. Close to 20 years ago, Mitch Colby found a source for cheap in England, so I had him get me 100 screws and bases. I prob paid $25. I’m silly like that. I see stuff for future use and snag it. I told my wife when I die, don’t just throw out shit. Everything I have has value. I’ll roll in my grave if she starts to throw it all away. lol.
Hehehe... A while ago, Dave, My wife was cleaning out the basement and I was at work, she had all the garbage boxes in the garage and something told me to go check them… you know where this is going. Half of my tube collection was ready to be picked up by the garbageman, I nearly threw up…
But it was my fault, it looked like junk, but now, I have prepared and labelled everything!
