Would love a simple EL34 based pint sized head that can rip your face off. These seem to fit the bill and have everything I would need for a throw and go backup head and/or something to more easily take in and out to our rehearsal space.

EL34 50watt versions only. Anyone?

I've got a 2016 Splawn Quick Rod 50 watt. I'm almost positive it's smaller than my older 100 watt and lighter. It's definately not a mini though but it can do 50/25 watt.

Thanks man, but I'm going to stick to seeking out one of those mini heads for now.

There is one on Reverb that I have been eyeballing for a while.

Probably the one I grabbed ;)

For some reason I didn't see it when I searched this weekend.

I snagged a 1978 Marshall 2204 off FB marketplace that someone put in a small box style headshell, not exactly a mini but way smaller and lighter than a 2203.

I almost pulled the trigger on one of these last year or so but didn't do it.
I've been primarily gigging my Bogner Helios and love it, but I carry a spare amp for myself and our rhythm guitarist. And that lately has been the EVH Stealth. Just tired of lugging two big heads around so this little guy makes sense cuz I hate the idea of having to plug my HD 500 straight into the PA if a head goes down. I would rather have a throw and go head so my main stage monitor sound is coming from my cab. I like Splawn tone and a more portable package is really cool.
