I’ve got a great 2204 clone. Metro loop, resonance control and 3 way gain switch on the rear. All PTP so it’s easy to mod. Pretty much like new.

Have you played a Bogner Helios? I've been through a lot of amps you have and I still after a few years really like the Helios 100 I have. Aggressive, open, pissed off Marshall all the way. I gigged a Quickrod for a few years and had 2 to compare it too. Not too far apart, but I found the top end of the Helios a bit easier to handle and the Splawn more compressed.
Also, if you like the EVH but feel it is missing something...maybe it's the EL34 factor? My EL34 Stealth is pretty damn wicked too. I go back and forth between it and the Helios, but if I had to choose it would be the Helios.

Have you played a Bogner Helios? I've been through a lot of amps you have and I still after a few years really like the Helios 100 I have. Aggressive, open, pissed off Marshall all the way. I gigged a Quickrod for a few years and had 2 to compare it too. Not too far apart, but I found the top end of the Helios a bit easier to handle and the Splawn more compressed.
Also, if you like the EVH but feel it is missing something...maybe it's the EL34 factor? My EL34 Stealth is pretty damn wicked too. I go back and forth between it and the Helios, but if I had to choose it would be the Helios.

I owned a 50 watt Helios. Oddly enough, I couldn't justify keeping it, with a price tag of $2800, vs the Splawn Competition I had next to it that was very close for $900. Yeah, the Helios is badass, but not $2800 badass. Just took an EQ in the loop the get the Splawn in the same neighborhood. I did like 70's mode on the Helios, though. Killer modded Plexi tone, with that Bogner feel.

This is the latest one I built and I’ve done few before this.

PT and choke are Mojotone. They’re US made but I’m not sure by who. The OT is Classic Tone. F&T caps, Sozo caps, Alpha pots, ect.

It has a 3 pos gain boost. Center is stock, right adds about 15% more gain and to the left adds about another 15%. I had Fusionbear over at TGP do the mod. Is sounds great but not over the top.
