Hey everyone,
Just wondering what you guys think of the Framus cabs? I've heard good things but wondered how they would go with a herbert? Also would the 2x12 cab be able to handle the 180 watts?
Thanks guys,
Jonny.

Should sound fine, Framus cabs use Greenback speakers. They are front loaded and very "in your face." Framus cabs aren't as sturdy as some of the other brands, the tolex tears easy and the wood is thinner.

I would not think a Framus 2x12 would hold up to a Herb cranked.

Never was a fan of Framus cabs nor will they be a good fit for any Diezel head.

That depends. I had a Framus 2x12" loaded with V30s (one of this got exchanged with G12K, after a recent scientific discovery that this speaker is the cherry for the Diezel amps   :) ).
Sounded fine, but honestly can't compare to Diezel cabs in terms of quality of built and of'course sound. Although strictly speaking I can't compare it to my current Diezel RL 4x12" with V30s and Hempcones, since they are very different. The last however sounds absolutely great :)
I also don't think that a 2x12" Framus will hold to a cranked Herbert ...

while it of course cant be compared to Diezel Cabs, i always prefered the Framus Dragon cab (in combination with Herbert) over the Mesa Oversized and the Engl V60, which we had all in the rehearsal room.

the Cobra cab is awesome, but won't handle that amp
it works great with SLO type amps, though (Recto, Cobra, Triamp, Dragon)
very punchy, focused and articulated

Aight cool,
Thanks a lot guys, I will keep searching/researching :P
Really appreciate all the advice and opinions.

the Cobra cab is now also available with V30s, so that one would work too.
