I would advise everyone here to pick up some of this stuff. It's pretty cheap and it works really well, especially on rosewood. Here are some pics...

Comparison shot, look how dry and shitty the untreated frets look...

After applying 1 coat to all the frets...

And after wiping the board down and putting the strings back on...

It also protects the fretboard as well as making it look better. Works a lot better than lemon oil or anything else I've tried. Definitely a great product IMO.

I looooooooooooooooooooooooove the stuff. It works great all around :)

Be careful...using too much stuff can make the frets pop. ;) ...also, if the board is "that" dry, you will end up causing a back bow since the fret board wood will expand as is absorbs...

Yup, I only oil my rosewood boards once a year and let the finger oils and funk do the rest and I do it around winter time when it is not humid.

Pop?

I only put 1 coat of it on. On their website it says that you can't apply too much of it.

"Don't concern yourself with "oversaturating" the wood. There isn't that much air space in it. This isn't Balsa wood we are using here. If it won't take any more, it is full, like a beer mug. Any additional oil will simply wipe off. I am also told that Fret Doctor also works well on acoustic bridges and bridge pins. I suggest that you apply it a few times per year, or at string changes."

Mark, what did you use to apply it? Definitely not like a microfiber cloth or anything along those lines, I'm guessing.

Just a cotton ball.
