Lean and mean, super tight, and very aggressive. This is not your typical Friedman. This is a very modern sounding amp, although it can still achieve the hotrodded Friedman tone we all know and love. There’s no information out there about these amps, so I’ll do my best to describe.
Two channels - channel 1 from semi clean to crunch to mid gain and channel 2 searing high gain, two way gain switch (normal and diode clipping), each channel with its own gain control, a gain trim knob which works in conjunction with each channel’s gain...seems like the channel gain brings more of the lower frequencies with gain while the gain trim adds more gain and a top end sizzle. It’s a perfect balance. Also a thump knob on the rear to fill in those lower frequencies. Has Dave’s fx loop installed as well.
Zero flub, no weird wonky frequencies, nothing shrill or piercing.
