makes sense, in the premier guitar rig rundown that came last he said he was working with Reinhold on a new amp

thats after he used his old fish amps for the latest record...

Didn't they just release a new amp for him like 6 months ago? The 20w or 50w?

Guess he cashed in on one last release then bounced.

this probably explains why at NAMM there is going to be a new high gain 20watter

I have a Jr. combo. I dig it but might let it go for $65,000.00 plus tax. Local pick up only.

With all the stuff Friedman has put out recently, maybe he needs to release a modeler now… ? He can call it the Cat of Nine Tails in sticking with his S&M theme.

Crazy too much money to lose for Jerry. Owned both amps so I get it but there is no way Bogner will market and be present like Friedman does.
I guess Jerry has enough dough and does not care.

Seems like most artists continue to make the endorsements and just move on without saying anything.

How much money do these guys make on these signature amps? I’m guessing very little, if anything.

Honestly, this makes so much sense. They sold a ton of these amps three years ago or four years ago. They are a dime a dozen today, I’ve seen JJ 20 going for $900. People stopped buying them after the first year they were out, everybody that was going to buy one new had already made the purchase.

The same thing has already happened with the IRX pedal, there are so many of them, same thing with the BEOD pedal.

It’ll probably be the same thing with the BE 100 because there’s just so many of them

Guess what, Jake Lee 20 A are going to be worth $900 in the near future as well, because again, they have made a fuck ton of them. The market is gonna be inundated. It’s probably the same thing with every Friedman I own.

You know what the pro of that is? Dave gets to keep making money and changing his amps just enough to keep some people interested, the general public gets to buy shit that sounds really good, and eventually the used market has a fuck ton of amps that are half price.

Willing to bet that every signature amp has a 12 month lifespan. They just keep it on the books a little bit longer, but they probably don’t make very many of them after the first runs.

Jerry’s probably just like the rest of us and likes playing something else once in a while ??

Amps nowadays are a lot like music releases. You have to create a hype video or two, in music it’s a couple/few singles, and then the first month/2 months(music)/6 months amps are key to get the sales. After that it’s a sales slope coming down the mountain.

Damn, has the JJ been out 14 years? Time just flying by.....

New opportunities for everyone I guess, a renamed Friedman JJ line and a new JJ Bogner line perhaps.

I don't blame the builders, I think once you get a certain size, you have to make new amps or release new variations regularly or else fall away. I think the market dictates it. But what the hell do I know, I never built amps, haha
