Anyone use or had experiences with the Friedman humbuckers and single coils? How do they sound?

They sound like they wish they were Duncan's.
True, not as good as your signature Duncan pickup and capacitor set, the Dunce Cap

You're a homeless bum, you can't even afford chinese made pickups from Amazon.

To answer the question of this thread, the Friedman Classic + Bridge at least seems to have a fatter & darker PAF sound with a bit more output while still remaining articulate. If you like the PAF feel but find them typically a bit too bright for your taste, this might be on your alley.

Sorry I don't speak gayanese.

🥲🥲

The Classic Plus in the bridge has a slightly gritty low end and can be shrill/stringy on the top end with some setups. It’s a nice hum once you get some volume going.

The A3 single coils are somewhat underpowered, as expected. They dont shine with gain like an A5 but have a very classic feel. Probably my favorite single for clean work.

Had the Classic+ in the bridge of my Cali. I couldn't stand it, I love pretty much everything about the guitar, but I couldn't get that pickup to sound good irrespective of what amp/EQ/processing I tried. I sort of thought there might have been something wrong with it. Swapped it out for an Aldrich and all is good. For whatever reason, I don't mind the Classic (non +) at the neck position.

As described above "shrill/stringy" are good descriptions. It had some kind of bizarre overtone or a kind of ringing high-end thing. Yuck.

I played a 1 pickup Friedman Cali yesterday at a local GC and the Classic + in the bridge sounded great through the Pink Taco I tried it out with.

I have Triple D pickups in my 70th Anniversary Strat tuned to C# Standard and they sound great.

I had the Classic/Classic Plus for a brief time. I was underwhelmed... especially for the street price. There are simply better pickups for the money. The Classic Plus that I had was microphonic af.

I've had 5 Friedman guitars. I think only pickup I haven't tried of theirs is the p90 and the triple d humbucker. They all sounded fine to me. That said I went to higher output bridge humbucker (afwayu) in all of them. As said they all sounded fine, but other pickups sounded better ...
