I did two videos comparing both of these great amps.
I use no pedals of any sort, just the dry tone of the amp.
I use my 2023 Gibson Les Paul R8 in both videos.

The 15 minute video is a full comparison of all the gain structures of both amps and the 1 minute video is just the high gain structure of both amps.

On the 15 minute video at the beginning the camera shut off on the middle gain structure of the Little Sister, no worries, I cover it again later in the video.

I love gain so for me the Pink Taco V2 is my favorite of the two amps, but the Little Sister still has plenty of gain on tap.

On Wednesday my Friedman JJ Jr. combo arrives and should be a nice gain comparison with the Pink Taco V2 and nice clean comparison with the Little Sister.

Enough said, here are the videos...

Vastly prefer the Little sister.

For whatever reason that preamp is my favorite friedman design I think

Both great amps, but I always prefer more gain if the tone is there also. I have a 16 minute video of the Pink Taco on its own that shows how versatile it is.

surprising seeing those high gain monsters u have in ur sig
I like gain, but it sounded like the Little Sister has plenty, especially for what you were playing. Allowed everything to breathe a little more, so to speak.

All this money spent when you should have just gotten the JEL. 😉

It is tough for me to demo playing chords and lead at same time.
I suck at playing chords and rhythm, so I can only play what I am able to play.
For what I want to play I need more gain.

The Little Sister does have a lot and has a more open and bright sound compared to the Pink Taco.
With a TS808 boost the Little Sister gets where I sometimes need it to be.

Both amps can easily be my #1.

I am always looking for a pre-owned JEL-20 head, prices just haven't adjusted yet.
I am sure I will be able to grab one for $1k or a little less soon.

I would have probably preferred a JEL-20 to the JJ Jr., but for $1100 for the JJ combo, I had to grab it.

My bet is I have a JEL-20 by the summer.

Pink Taco V2 for me for heavier rock, a bit of metal (with a boost). Twin Sister is nice for softer, cleaner stuff and more dynamic fusion-y playing.

Wish the Pink Taco V2 came in a 50w version.

I'll keep you posted on the JJ Jr. after it arrives tomorrow, it seems like it is voiced more for modern darker rock from what I have heard.
It is that Alice in Chains type stuff, I am not a fan of their tone, but I will see what the amp gives me.

What kind of music do you like?

I like all music. but not a fan of all guitar tones.
90s hair bands like XYZ have the tone I love.

I just made 3 videos that are much better and will post them up soon.

I don't like the videos in this thread at all.

I love XYZ. Have you seen Mark Diglio's YT Channel?

Both great, but preferred the Little Sister
You can't go wrong with either, I actually just started a New Thread with much better videos as I wasn't rushed or tight.
See if you still feel the same way...
I think you will, the Little Sister is a much brighter and open sounding amp.

I also recorded my Jaguar F-Type R today for YouTube, that sounds better than both amps, lol
