So I've had mine for a few months. Here are my thoughts on the amp... It's an amazing amp for those wanting great rock tones that were popular in the 60s, 70s and 80s. I have played through nothing that does these tones better than this amp. It sounds very nice at lower volume. At volumes above the 10:30 position it is glorious! Clear, punchy with gobs of not overly compressed gain. The loop is great. No complaints there. If you like the tones of Page, Hendrix, Van Halen, Lynch, Dimartini, Sykes, Rhoads, Jake E Lee, Zakk, etc... Bands like Dio, Iron Maiden, AC/DC, Aerosmith.... This might be your amp.

You guys get the picture. I am very happy I bought this amp. Thanks for the advice Reza. I love mine!
Here is a vid i did lastnight. The volume was up and it compressed the iphone's mic. But excusses aside...

Clip sounds great man- excellent playing. I'm more of an early 90s guy but this amp still appeals to me quite a bit. Have a dirty Shirley mini on the way- if that doesn't last...the small box may be next.

Thanks. If you like Marshall tones this is your amp. Why i find this amp more appealing than a Marshall is this, no ice picknin the ear tone, great loop and sounds good at low volumes

Edit: also this amp has more gain than a stock Plexi or JCM800

Sounds great! Didn't you have Dave mod this to add an extra gain option? Is it engaged in this clip?

Oh, it IS the amp for me, thanks to your clips. I had a PT20 when you first posted your clips and though I was very happy with it, your clips hit me right in the gut. The sound is addicting. So I took the taco back and will wait until I can afford a SB with the mods you have. Unless the Runt is more of a mini SB. At any rate, it will be a Friedman.

Jeff this guitar IS special. I mean that! My amp has the SAT switch whichnis always engaged. Dave said he did a minor tweak to tighten the amp but i guess it's not really different from any other Smallbox than that. It's just a smokin 50watt Marshall-esq amp

Sounds killer man. I think I read in another thread that you had the SAT switch and I was thinking about having that done to mine but I think for now I`m just gonna continue boosting with either my TC Spark Booster and Xotic BB Comp.

Pricey but killer amp for sure, one of favorite songs ever! How would it be for strictly a bedroom amp? too loud? or just right?

What a great sounding amp! Nicely done!

Which cab are you running it through and what speakers?
