Recently received a pair of Epiphone pro 90 Alnico V pickups from a buddy after installing his new Planet Tone pickups for him. (The Planet Tone sound great btw)
The Epi Pros sound far better in this guitar than in the previous one and I really like them especially when gain is applied.
That being said - these pickups are black with gold pole pieces. The original set were cream with silver. The rest of the guitar is chrome.
I had some good vintage Gold tuners lying around and got to installing some conversion bushings and also drilling.
I had some gold kluson string trees,.so I swapped out the original with those.
I have a bridge on the way that looks like it is the same exact model but in gold and with Hipshot style saddles.
Gold toggle Ring and washer on the way.
Idk about the knobs yet.
Before and after partial swap.
