Fryette Deliverance or Fatbottom W/Fanes?

Just checking in here. Getting back into a Pittbull. Of course have to go hunting for a matching cab!

I’ve had the Fatbottom with P50e’s. Bought some Fanes to put into it but of course the speaker holes would not accommodate the Fanes.

At any rate looking for input on the Deliverance VS Fatbottom with Fanes. I had the Fanes in a rear loaded cab with my D60. They sounded great!

Thanks in advance.

Deliverance with Fanes.
Those Speakers should be king, but people are dumb and don't like change..

The ultra lead with fanes may be the best tone available. The deliverance sounds great with them also.

D120 with a D4x12
Fanes
Sounds great if you're not sitting and getting the Beam right i the face.
More woody tone with the D cab over the Fat Bottom. I was running the FB cab into Ultra Lead/ with P50 speakers.
The beam focus on the Fat Bottom was ear splitting. Added the speaker tamer (don't think they exist anymore) across all 4 speakers to cut the beam

You're using to much high end. At volume it shouldn't be that way if it's balanced no matter what the speaker.

It seems you've gone full retard today.
... I think it's more of you can't get enough gain so you crank the highs to compensate for your weakling intonation.. Don't forget the piece of shit buzz box distortion pedal you added that killed all the dynamics of the amp..

But hey, you do you and fry everyone's face off because you're deaf above 2khz.. LOL
Have a great day.. :p

Deliverance is my favourite amp. I need to get a Fryette cab one of these days. I would like P50 speakers in a Fat Bottom and Fanes in a Deliverance. Then I need a Pittbull. Plus a million other things I guess.

Why you like deliverance best ?

I’ve had the fat bottom with the P50s for like 20 years and been absolutely happy with it. Probably the cab I”m using the most. The other cabs I got are Mesa Standard with the V30s, Mesa Roadking, Soldano with the Eminence, Bogner with the V30/something else mix. And the P50s on this cab are working absolutely great. Now, this got me curious: what’s different about the Fanes? Is this is worth exploring?

Retains crunchiness at high gain, tight enough in the low end, has actual character, has a nice glassy airy bubble thing happening I suspect is due to the KT88s, not too many options, touch responsiveness, guitar volume knob reactive, looks good.

I decided long ago I value character of tone higher than anything. Even with amps that may not be as easy to play. They’ve got to have some kind of unique character.

For sure . And are hands are truly different . The way you mute and play will give you a unique version of the Deliversnce

It is high up for me too. I think the ultra lead sounds better, but the deliverance is a cool amp

For me the the Fanes bring more midrange character that I felt the P50’s had. The P50’s seem to be hollow through the mids. I wasn’t a huge fan. I had Fanes in an Uberkab and they sounded fantastic with my Deliverance. I just didn’t get to experience the fanes through a front loaded cab.

I'm yet to get the chance to play an ultra. I briefly played a CLX in a guitar store when I was too green to judge it. Was also sitting on a stool arms length away from the 4x12. Not the best situation. Hopefully he gets this new Pittbull out soon. Hopefully it isn't radically different in a bad way. Some of his hints on The Malcontents have made me nervous. Really want to own one.

Cant speak of the new one, but i was telling @RedB4Black if they give it same preamp voicing with a modern design like wizard, groundzero, etc where it punches you in the face, it may be the best amp ever
