Completely different IMO. The Dragon can get tighter, more saturated, more or less compressed (little switch inside to adjust compression to taste), and to me sounds more modern & colors the tone more than the Savage Drive. Plus that dB switch on top seems to change the mid freq from low mid thickening it up vs. uper mids & more lean.
