Unless you're willing to pop for a vintage Neve 1073, this is as good as it gets for recording heavy guitars.

Truth be told I compared it to a BAE1073 which kicked it ass and the compared both of them to a UTA MPDI-4 which annihilated both of em. I can reveal that now cuz it sold
