Haha! Yep, just no need for these right now then. I mean, I could put them to use somewhere I’m sure, but who knows. They are REALLY fantastic monitors, absolutely 100 percent. A lot of people like two sets of monitors, but these are too similar ( even though they really aren’t at all) compared to what I bought, so there’s no point I don’t think really.

I know multiple professionals in the TV audio/OST/TV music game who use the 8040s, they get high ratings from everyone I've ever talked to that has owned them

You could put them to use for a mega home-stereo setup for music and TV in the living room if you were so-inclined, but yeah, apart from that, no point in having both sets I reckon brother.

Absolutely, that was my first thought as well, I’m sure they would sound incredible. I put a 5.1 surround system in my living room but I’m sure these would blow that away, or could go in another room somewhere else. we shall see :D

Yup.

The reason I put it out there is 'cause that's what I do with my studio monitors if ever I "upgrade".

Not enough space for 2 sets anyway and these things generally blow anything domestic to smithereens. As a bonus, no more EQ needed, so if you can feed 'em from a sound card you're good-to-go. I use my laptop that way - music video and movies via VLC and straight-up music through iTunes.

Best damned stereo I ever had and that's just a 20-year-old pair of Alesis 720DSP's, nowhere near the league of these puppies you've got up-for-sale.

LOL that's what I thought too brother, hence my original post.

Turns out these are the little brothers of the big set he bought.
