This one was a blast! I bought it new to experiment with it as I had only done one of them before and it was when I was kind of a n00b. I made this baby SCREAM!!!
In TS9 mode it's closer to stock than what I usually let slide. I did improve the low end response, clarity, and do the 808 mod (808 mod is effective in all modes) but I left the diodes stock and didn't mess with the bass as much as I normally do. I made it clearer and tighter but not as huge as the Chaos mod.
In + mode it's all smooth, warm clipping from 4 germanium diodes. It's a little quieter than stock and much quieter than the chaos mod but VERY smooth, warm, tube-ish, and a little fuzzy. EXCELLENT for neck pickup leads! This mode also has the big bottom you all love me for
I made hot mode into the Chaos mod. Huge, tight bottom and 3 dimensional LOUD clipping! This is of course my favorite.
In turbo mode it sounds like the Chaos mod with an even BIGGER low end and HUGE guttural low mids! LOUD as HELL too! This is a very powerful and punishing boost!
The opamp is now a socketed RC4558P which is IMO the best sounding screamer chip ever! The socket makes it easy for you to change if you'd like to experiment!
This pedal is brand new, the only use it has gotten is by me testing it after mods. Comes with box and paperwork.
I'd like to get $180 shipped for this. This was A LOT of work! MUCH more than any other pedal I mod!
