Both are excellent, add an RMC to the list

Yeh, thought of RMC, but they're nigh on impossible to find here.

Hey Adam, What kind of Wah are you looking for? I like the Clyde standard but not the deluxe but Im not a fan of the Budda at all, Ive tried several and it just wasnt vocal enough for me. My faves are my modded vox v847 and the Teese Wheels of fire. If you want a Teese just let me know and Ill buy it for ya over here and send it on over...

Hey Kage, that would be killer!

I'm looking for something very vocal - not at all shrill in the highs, and especially vocal in the lows. Does that make any sense? Something that works well under high gain, but can also kill with cleans. It needs to mesh well with the voicing of the Bogner too.

I've looked into the Teese RMC, but not the Wheels of Fire. I'll do that right now.

FWIW, the only Clyde I can seem to find here is the Standard, but you say that sounds better than the Deluxe?

You pretty much just described the WoF, one of my favorite wahs.

I never got along with either the Fulltone or the Budda wah. The Fulltone wasnt bad, it just didnt impress me. I was like, "Eh."

The Budda has a weird bright top end thing happening that I didnt enjoy either. But I also like really traditional sounding wahs. I love the Teese Picture Wah, and the Roger Mayer wahs as well. The Roger Mayer Vision wah is also ridiculously versatile.

Then again so are the Teese RMC's. And you know what, I think the stock Vox Clyde McCoy wah is pretty badass too.

*adds Teese Wheels Of Fire to the must check out list*

Another one to check out is the Area51 wah. It's the first wah that I've been happy with. Was going to buy a WoF wah at the time but everyone was sold out. This was a couple of years ago when Geoffrey wasn't producing them for a short while. Got an Area51 circuit board, Fulltone pot, Carling switch for true bypass, Switchcraft jacks, and I couldn't be happier. Area51 is now selling complete wahs once again, so that makes it a lot easier for those musicians that don't have the time or know-how to build their own.
