So i was jamming out one day and i heard a loud crackling coming from the speakers.. then nothing.

So obviously a fuse blew. Checked the powerfuse it was cool, so was the HT fuse. Opened it up and the 5a fuse was cool but the 1a was burned up.

Go to my radio shack and get a new one. Put it in and turn it on... then nothing, no sound or anything. I proceed to check out the fuses again and the same one is burned.

Im not 100% sure whats causing it to blow. I'm thinking its the tubes..but i changed it only 2 months ago...

amp btw is a Laney GH100L

Usually worn out power tubes. Try a new set and see if it happens.

yeah that what i thought... :aww:

anyone else???

That's been my experience. Fuse blowing over and over = bad power tube. I'm not saying that's all it can be, but that was my experience at least once or twice.

Its a 100 Watter, right?

Pull one pair (inner or outer), replace fuse and see which of the pairs is faulty. At least you can keep jamming until you get a new quartett.

yep its a 100watter, ill try that as soon as i get another fuse.

I heard though when you pull the inner or outter tubes it changed the ammount of Ohms go to the speakers.. is that true?

Yes
If you are running a 16 ohm cab, set the amp at the 8 ohm setting.
